Genetics

Corn Specialist and agronomic knowledge helps maximize the genetic potential of a hybrid.
AgriGold is a division of AgReliant Genetics, LLC, which provides one of the most extensive and unique germplasm sources in the world. We benefit from the world’s fourth largest breeding program, which concentrates on plant characteristics that matter most to corn growers like you, including:
- Standability
- Yield
- Drydown
- Disease tolerance
- Consistency
- Herbicide tolerance
- Insect tolerance
Worldwide Breeding Stations
As a result of a long history in breeding and our worldwide breeding efforts, our genetic base is more diverse than almost all other competitors. Throughout our network of breeding stations in North America and Europe, expert plant breeders produce new inbreds and experimental crosses for testing, analysis and possible development into future AgriGold hybrids. Plus, our independent status allows our breeders maximum flexibility in breeding strategies.
Di-Haploid Breeding Technology
We have accelerated hybrid development with the innovative Di-Haploid technology. This approach produces pure parent lines in one year, compared to three to five years using conventional methods. For you, that means faster access to new high-yielding hybrids and more opportunities to achieve greater yield potential.
Di-Haploid technology enhances "forward breeding" by allowing hybrids to be bred with new traits (GMO and non-GMO) without locking up the germplasm and by developing stacks without negative side effects. This gives us an earlier look at new lines and greater knowledge about their environmental adaptability before they are fully tested, developed and marketed.
Corn Refuge
Trait stewardship and planting the required refuge is the key to sustaining the effectiveness of today's outstanding traits. New traits offer reduced refuge and added convenience, along with higher productivity. For more information on corn refuge, review some Typical Common Refuge Configuration Options* for AgriGold's leading traits. *Provided as a summary only. Growers must read the IRM/Grower Guide prior to planting.
Input and Output Traits
With a focus on corn, AgriGold offers more input and output traits to meet your agronomic and specialty needs.
Our Specialty Market team works with processors and end users of specialty grain to develop markets and products for our growers. Our independence and breeding capabilities allow us to bring you input and output traits not available anywhere else. Learn more about our Specialty Products or contact our Specialty Products Team.
Corn Technology: AgriGold is excited to offer the newest and most comprehensive family of traits available for the 2012 planting season. AgriGold's elite genetics protected by Genuity® Corn trait systems allows you to do what you do best and do it better. Learn more about the Mode of Action Comparisons.

IMPORTANT IRM INFORMATION: RIB Complete corn does not require the planting of a structured refuge except in cotton growing regions where corn earworm is a significant pest. See the IRM/Grower Guide for additional information. Always read and follow IRM requirements.
ALWAYS READ AND FOLLOW PESTICIDE LABEL DIRECTIONS. Roundup Ready® crops contain genes that confer tolerance to glyphosate, the active ingredient in Roundup® brand agricultural herbicides. Roundup® brand agricultural herbicides will kill crops that are not tolerant to glyphosate. Processor Preferred High Extractable Starch (HES) exhibits the characteristics desired by corn wet milling plants.
Seed products with the LibertyLink® (LL) trait are resistant to the herbicide glufosinate ammonium, an alternative to glyphosate in corn, and combine high-yielding genetics with the powerful, non-selective, postemergent weed control of Ignite® herbicide for optimum yield and excellent weed control.
